Samantha Bee Gets Own Comedy Show on TBS [FULL DETAILS]
TBS is giving the longtime Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee her own comedy show, the network said on Thursday.
TBS, which is owned by Time Warner, Inc., said Samantha Bee will host and executive-produce a series in which she will "apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues," according to a statement.
"We're thrilled to have Sam join Jason at TBS and really make this a family affair. We actually have their kids coming in next week to pitch us animation," executive vice president of original programming for TBS Brett Weitz said in the release.

"Like her fans around the country, we absolutely adore everything about Sam, from her straight-faced sarcasm and ruthless wit to her uncanny ability to mine comedy gold from just about any awkward situation. After watching Sam's work for years, we knew that her distinctive humor and talent belong at the front of her own show."
The news comes just after her husband and fellow Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones announced he was leaving "The Daily Show."
Bee, who started out in an all-female sketch comedy troupe, is the Daily Show's longest-serving comic faux-news correspondent as she joined in 2003.
