Debunking earlier reports about Final Fantasy XV release next year, the game has been put up for pre-order online with scheduled release on December 31, 2015.

Amazon has listed the game for both PS 4 and Xbox One though an official date is yet to be announced by the game's developer Square Enix. Fans can also get a sneak peek through Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo set to be released along with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on March 17.

Venture Capital Post reported that the demo would show the protagonist Nocits' teleportation abilities in fighting foes, use his environment to his advantage besides show of his skills with a range of weapons.

"First ... this demo is exclusive to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. We're never going to release it as a stand-alone piece down the line. Secondly, it's intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early - the demo will be limited to the 'Day One' edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it. So if the demo is something you think you might like, we highly encourage you to pre-order or to be quick about getting to the store on launch day, March 17th, 2015," Square Enix product marketing manager Scott Strichart said according to Christian Today.

Driven by Sony's recent listing of all its games scheduled for release this year, some reports suggested that Final Fantasy XV will not available until 2016 release and hinted at May 2016 release.
