Obama Administration’s directive to schools on accommodation of transgender students has received mixed response. While some politicians, parents and districts are accepting the instructions as part of civil rights protection, there are others who swore to fight back treating it as a federal invasion into local issues.
Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, was recognized for being brave about her man to woman transformation and for speaking for transgender rights.
