Beijing, the capital of China, has issued its first-ever "red alert" due to smog.
Smog shot up to such high levels that the Paris government was forced to cut its traffic by half on Monday, but now it has eased the restrictions.
Only vehicles with odd number plates will be allowed to ply on Monday.
