Twitter is doing everything it can to block trolls. Recently it added new tools that make it easier for people to block several people at once. Users will be able to share the list of blocked people with other users as well.
Google has flipped over a decision to ban sexually explicit images and from its Blogger service. Three days ago, the search giant had announced to ban sexually explicit material from public Blogger sites. However, after sustained criticism of the decision, it reversed it and decided instead that such site's will just be placed behind a warning page.
This is not a good week for Apple. The company just lost a $533 million patent case to Smartflash and now it's being sued by Ericsson over patent licensing.
Turkey has asked Twitter to block or remove the account belonging to one of the country's newspapers - BirGün Halkin Gazetesi. The company has refused saying that it intends to fight the court order from Turkish government.
"Marriott International listens to its customers, and we will not block guests from using their personal Wi-Fi devices at any of our managed hotels," the hotel chain issued a statement in the light of customers protests. The hotel chain will look for other methods to maintain Internet security on hotel properties.
Twitter has made it easier for victims and witnesses of online harassment to report it.
