Prince Jackson, the son of legendary artist Michael Jackson, did not have to wait to listen to new music from Kendrick Lamar.

According to Jackson's Twitter page, he had the honor of previewing some of Lamar's new tracks from his upcoming, highly anticipated album, which still does not have a release date, an album cover and an album title.

Jackson's friend, Omer Bhatti, also had the pleasure of listening to the Grammy Award winning artist's new music and he was impressed. Bhatti posted a picture of him with K. Dot on his Facebook page.

He wrote: "Such a great please meeting @kendricklamar last night and hearing him play some new tracks for his upcoming album. Humble guy and the Music is on another level."

Lamar's latest album, his follow-up to "good kid, m.A.A.d city," has been in the works for some time now. Although not many details have been released in regards to the album, Lamar and his label, TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) did drop the single, "The Blacker the Berry," after the Grammy Awards.

Unlike "i," which was the first single that was released back in September for the upcoming third studio album, this single features a much darker tone. Listen to the track here:

The Compton native recently performed at Air + Style. At the event, Lamar, who cut his act short due to sound issues, did not play any new music. Lamar is scheduled to perform at three upcoming music festivals: Sasquatch!, UK Wireless and Essence.
