Wendy Williams Update: TV Host Tells 'Her People' to Stop Hating White Rapper Iggy Azalea [WATCH]
Don't worry Iggy Azalea, Wendy Williams has got your back!
TV talk show host Williams took some time during her show this week to call out Azalea's haters. The 24-year-old Australian rapper recently took a break from social media after her bikini pictures received a lot of negative comments, which were centered on her cellulite.
"Would guys stop with the Iggy Azalea?! How much hate do you guys have?!" Williams asked openly to her audience.
On the show, Williams, 50, first defended Azalea's body by saying that there is nothing wrong or abnormal about cellulite. She then went on to rank about how people, particularly the African American community, have been treating Azalea poorly due to the fact that she is a white rapper.
"I want you all to leave her alone. I know who the haters are: my people. It seems like black people don't want this girl to win because she's white," Williams said referring to the African American community. "In other words, you're a hater because she's crossed over and she's managed to make it. You're a hater because she got herself what looks like a black girl's butt and a black boyfriend, Nick Young. You need to stop that hate and get a life, haters."
Williams continued on her rant by stating that the African American community has not been very welcoming toward the rapper despite her success because they tend to be "very territorial" when it comes to rap music. Before ending her rant, Williams noted that she has never met Azaela.
