A mother of three in Michigan has put up her breast milk for sale on Craigslist, which is garnering attention in the bodybuilding community.

That her post should appear at a time when breast milk has become fad for bodybuilders is incidental. According to Fox News, Lisa Carbonneau, a stay-at-home mom is offering to sell her milk for dollar an ounce or to the highest bidder in case there is competition. What has gotten the bodybuilders and has other women hooked is her claim that she does not drink or do drugs. She claims she has with her 70 ounces of milk.

Tech Times reports that breast milk is being used by bodybuilders who hope it can give them the bulking boost. There however is no proof that human milk is actually good for building muscles. In fact, cow milk contains more protein than human milk.

Health experts also caution that there is more risk than benefits as human milk is highly prone to bacterial contamination. That apart, concerns always exist about quality as women are not screened before their milk is purchased.

However Carbonneau makes a strong pitch by make a case of her baby.

"I have a 20-pound 5-month-old who is growing like a weed. If the nutritional value is good enough to sustain his life, why not add a few extra vitamins to your diet," she was quoted saying.
