Lady Gaga Engaged; Posts Heart-Shaped Engagement Ring On Instagram

Lady Gaga and long-term boyfriend actor-model Taylor Kinney are now engaged. This news has been confirmed from the picture of a heart-shaped engagement ring the pop sensation posted on her Instagram on February 16.

US Weekly took a snapshot of the ring's picture now on the Bad Romance's social media page. It comes with a caption saying, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"

The source further said that the couple had a private celebration at Gaga's family's restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan as witness Barry Lewis, an editor at the New York-based Times Herald-Record had earlier narrated.

From a separate interview of The Guardian, Lewis said that the singer's father, Joe Germanotta, was there to celebrate with the couple and had popped a bottle of champagne for the occasion.

"Kinney, standing, seemed a bit embarrassed as they talked about trying to find the right ring and time to give it to her," he further added.

No matter how public the announcement is on Instagram, the Poker Face hitmaker tried to hide her hand that wears the engagement ring in February 16 photo opt with the media.

Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, and Taylor Kinney are said to have met while taping Gaga's video of You and I. US Weekly said that they have a brief split on May 12 but rekindled their love shortly.

The songstress had long since expressed her decision of marrying the actor if he asked her in an interview with Howard Stern.

"He is the right guy. How do we know? It's this feeling..." she said during the interview.

The announcement of Lady Gaga's proposal came out amidst her busy career. BBC recalled that she performed in the Grammy's last week and will be performing soon at the Oscars.
