Pebble has been updated with PlexFit and Android Wear notification. To gain access to Google Fit - a Google-made and Google-handled fitness system for Android devices - the smartwatch now works with the PlexFit app. Pebble, after keeping the Android Wear system in beta for several weeks, has released it for public.

The company has also released a new iOS app this week for the latest javascript Pebbles apps available to iOS users, SlashGear noted. The update also addresses several bugs and stability improvements.

The Pebble device's firmware has been updated to version 2.9. The actionable Android notification would require users to pair with Android devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher.

The new update will also extend support to most of Android compatible SMS messaging apps.
