Another Royal Baby on the Way; Prince William and Kate Expecting Second Child
The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are expecting their second baby, Kensington Palace announced.
The palace released an official statement: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
"As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum."
Catherine is suffering from acute morning sickness and is being attended to by doctors at their official royal quarters at Kensington Palace.
The new baby will be fourth in line to the crown, after Prince Charles, Prince Williams and Prince George.
The baby announcement comes just two months after Prince George celebrated his first birthday.
The Duchess will be restricting her royal appearances at the moment due to her morning sickness and all future official outings will be decided on a case to case basis, reports the BBC.
Catherine is still to reach the 12-week mark into her pregnancy when generally such announcements are made, but her condition has pre-empted the news.
The Duchess is scheduled for her first two-day solo royal visit to Malta Sept. 20.
The British Prime Minister David Cameron released a congratulatory statement, reports Sky News : "Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
"I'm delighted by the happy news that they're expecting another baby."
Labour leader Ed Miliband said on Twitter: "Fantastic to hear that Prince George will soon be a big brother! Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their happy news."
