Scientists say that it is high time the humans tried to contact intelligent life on other worlds actively. Researchers taking interest in extra-terrestrial life are already working out as to what the messages from earth should be like, as BBC reports. American Association for the Advancement of Science has already made the call. Although the researchers and scientists have been listening for signals from outer space for more than 30 years, there has been no sign of ET till now. Some argue that it can be dangerous to make our presence known. The head of the scientist's groups feels that it is time now to step up the search.

As reported by Irish Examiner, the leading space scientists are taking keener interest in this direction. There are chances that if you keep trying and knocking, may you might get in touch with somebody. After all, those extra-terrestrials should be told that we are an intelligent and civilized species. SETI or Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence is a five decade old organisation that now plans to send out a big signal, rather than waiting for one. The program is called Active Seti, and there are soon going to be serious discussions soon over the idea.

An another report by MalaysianDigest, the leading astronomers, anthropologists and social scientists will soon get together to work out plans for a proposal for active Seti and place the proposal before the public and politicians. Many are of the view that it could be dangerous as we don't know what is out there. One should not have the arrogance of shouting into the cosmos without making a proper assessment. These steps could place the plant and the further generations at risk. Also on the agenda is that, what kind of message should be sent to ET?
