Hewlett Packard announced three new detachable PCs, two in the Envy series powered by Intel's Core M processor and one in the Pavilion series.

Hewlett Packard, the renowned PC maker, is expanding its PC lineup with three new additions, 13.3-inch Envy x2, 15.6-inch Envy x2 and 10-inch Pavilion x2, to meet customers' growing need for two-in-one tablet and PC. With a detachable keyboard, these machines can go solo as a tablet while on the go. They pack power combined with style to give the most suitable user-experience in various situations.

"Customers have told us they want devices that offer flexibility and performance while reflecting their personal sense of style," Mike Nash, HP's VP of Product Management and Consumer Personal Systems, said in an official press statement, Thursday. "The products we are announcing today include innovative designs, vibrant color options, choice of operating system and computing power to enable the way that customers communicate, play and live."

The two Envy x2 PCs are powered by Intel's latest Core M processor that features a fan-less design with 14nm CPU. The Bluetooth-enabled keyboard is sleek with backlit technology that covers the screen for protection when not in use without adding extra weight while carrying it around. The keyboard offers a retro-style with its brown leather touch and sticks to screen with magnets. The tablet side of the Envy X2 features an adjustable stand to use it as a PC when necessary along with a stylus, which also attaches to the tablet magnetically, CNET reports. With these specs, the Envy x2 has the potential to go after Microsoft's Surface Pro 3.

As for the Pavilion x2 model, the 10-inch detachable PC features an IPS touch display with front-facing speakers and an Intel Atom processor. It sports a microSD slot for storage expansion and a USB along with a mini-HDMI port.

The 13.3-inch HP ENVY x2 hits a premium price range at $1,049.99 and is expected to arrive in the US starting October 29 alongside the affordable HP Pavilion x2, which will sell for $329.99. The 15.6-inch counterpart will be available in November for discounted $949.99.
