Five Nights At Freddy's 3 Release Date and Rumors: Revamped "Break Out" Horror Game Could Drop This Month

As Five Nights at Freddy's fans eagerly await release of the game's third iteration, rumors doing the rounds suggest it is more about escape and not survival.

According to App Trigger, a teaser image posted to Scottgames.com shows a map with marking 'You' and exit point which fans believe indicates a departure from the first two versions of the game. The first and second versions of the indie game Five Nights was about keeping a night security guard alive until morning and five consecutive days amidst animatronics that come alive during the night and try to kill the guard. The website, said to be that of the game's creator Scott Cawthon, provides no other details.

The game's creator has however written to his fans to not go by rumors that suggest that the game has been released.

"Hopefully most of you have realized that FNaF3 has NOT been released! Anyone who claims otherwise is trying to scam you. I will make an official announcement when the game has been released. Any download links you see are false and will most likely contain something undesirable, so be careful!," reads Cawthon's post on Steam, a crowdsourcing platform.

While there still is no word on the exact date, Design & Trend, which chanced up on an old interview from Cawthon, reported that it could happen in the next few weeks. Fans are unlikely to receive intimation to the release as the game would suddenly appear for Android and iOS a week after, if past releases are any indication.
