Bruce Jenner Crash Update: Prius Driver Had a Suspended License

New information on the fatal car crash that occurred in Malibu on Saturday involving Bruce Jenner revealed that one of the drivers had a suspended license.

The driver, Hollywood talent manager, Jessica Marie Steindroff, was the first car to be rear-ended in the pileup that left one driver dead. Steindroff, 29, was behind the wheel of a 2010 Toyota Prius.

There were speculations earlier that Steindroff was trying to make an illegal U-turn. Her lawyer, however, said on Tuesday that she did not start the crash.

"The story that she was making an illegal U-turn is 100 percent false. She was meeting with a client in Zuma. She has the text messages that prove it," the attorney, Roger Simon, told The New York Daily News. "She met with detectives today. Nothing looks to be criminal. She was a victim."

Steindroff was rear-ended by Kim Howe, 69. Howe's white Lexus was then hit by Jenner's Cadillac Escalade, which pushed Howe's car right in front of a passing Hummer. Howe died at the scene from blunt chest trauma.

Steindroff has a history of suspended licenses. In 2012, her license was suspended due to "unsatisfied judgment." In 2013, it was suspended again after Steindroff failed to appear.

Steindroff is reportedly cooperating with the police. She has given the investigators permission to download data from her car's black box. Jenner has also volunteered his black box for the law enforcement to use.

Early reports suggested that Jenner was texting at the time of the accident. On Monday, the detectives stated that they would ask Jenner for his cell phone records to determine if he committed a felony during the accident. Jenner has denied texting and stated that he will cooperate.

TMZ reported that the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has obtained a video that shows what happened immediately after the accident. The video can help investigators track down witnesses.
