Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Divorce Drama: Cannon Boycotts Ex-Wife’s Music
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's divorce might have taken a nasty turn.
According to an insider reported by US Weekly, Cannon "flipped out" earlier this month during Chris Paul's LA charity bowling tournament held at the AMF Bowl-o-Drome when one of Carey's old songs was played.
The insider reportedly said, "Nick looked irritated - he was cringing. Nick had a publicist go over to the DJ and demand he stop playing Mariah's tracks."
Cannon, 34 and Carey, 44 were married in April 2008. In April 2011, they welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe. After six years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in August 2014. Prior to their announcement, rumors were circulating that the Cannon and Carey were no longer living together.
Cannon spoke out about their split in October. He stated on the Meredith Vieria Show, "It's truly just staying focused on family and what's right and getting through these times and just doing what's right for the kids. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we're supposed to do together."
Cannon reportedly filed for divorce papers in January.
Carey has not let the divorce affect her. The pop diva recently announced her first-ever residency at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace.
"It's a new chapter for me, so it's exciting," she had said to Ellen DeGeneres.
The show will open on May 6.
