The Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation is reportedly on its way. If rumors are to be believed, it may be released by September.

Christian Today suggests that Apple has been planning a new iPod Touch which was meant to be released September last year. Overwhelming demand for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus caused the delay. Apple reportedly understands that there is a demand from buffs for a dedicated music device. Hardware on the new iPod could be similar to iPhone 6.

According to Latinos Post, Apple could release the iPod Touch in two screen sizes similar to the iPhone 6 and its bigger cousin 6 Plus; a 4.7 inch iPod Touch and the bigger 5.5 inch iPod. These would be available in choice of colors. iPhone's A8 processors could find their way into the sixth generated music device and the same storage options could be offered.

However iPod will be far from being a striped down version of the iPhone. Word has it that the biggies at Apple want the iPod to stand in a league of its own. So they plan to equip it with Retina Display and support with Apple Pay. The Cupertino giant could also bump up the processor. A release this year would end the drought for iPod lovers. Hope Apple's hearing!
