Bobbi Kristina Brown Murdered? Mysterious Injuries Lead Investigators to Zoom in on ‘Husband’ Nick Gordon
The investigation into Bobbi Kristina Brown's bathtub incident will reportedly focus on her boyfriend Nick Gordon.
CNN reported, according to a source with knowledge of the case that Bobbi, 21, had unexplainable injuries when she was found face down in a filled tub at her home near Atlanta, Georgia on Jan. 31. Although the nature of the injuries has not been revealed, CNN and TMZ believe that these injuries sparked the police investigation of possible foul play with Gordon, 25, as the main target.
TMZ reported that the police are looking into possible altercation between Bobbi and Gordon roughly an hour before the incident. TMZ added that Maxwell Lomas, Gordon's friend stated that Gordon had cleaned up the house and removed bloodstains.
TMZ detailed the events leading up to the discovery of Bobbi's body:
"We're told Max Lomas -- the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub -- arrived at around 9 AM last Saturday. He says he hung out with Nick but did not see Bobbi Kristina. He was told she was in the bedroom. Nick wandered away and Max says he didn't pay attention to his whereabouts.
The cable guy showed sometime after 10 AM and Max says he let him in -- Nick was nowhere to be seen. The cable guy said he needed access to the bedroom so Max let him in and discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub. He screamed for Nick, who ran in and administered CPR."
Sources stated that Gordon and Lomas have lawyered up.
At the time of Bobbi's incident, a Roswell police spokeswoman stated that Bobbi was "unresponsive, meaning not breathing, [with] no heartbeat." Bobbi was then brought to the hospital and was placed in a medically induced coma. Her status has remained unclear.
Over the course of last week, reports about Bobbi's condition were inconsistent. Some stated that she had opened her eyes briefly while others stated that she suffered seizures. Bobbi is currently on life support. Bobbi's incident happened roughly twos weeks before the anniversary of her mother's death. Whitney Houston was found in 2012 unresponsive in a bathtub.
The current investigation will look into what caused the incident. So far, the investigators did find any evidence that drugs or alcohols were involved.
