Bruce Jenner Still The Same Person Despite Gender Change
Bruce Jenner's gender change has started as rumors but now turned into news as the former Olympian and TV father finally admitted that he had an operation for gender change. Bruce' 88-year old mother, Esther talked about his son's decision and said that Bruce assures her that he is still the same person.
In an exclusive interview with AP via USA Today, Esther Jenner talked about how she felt about Bruce's journey saying that the news shocked her at first but in the end, she is still proud of her son.
" It was a shock. It's hard to wrap your mind around it... the family is close and very supportive of Bruce, and we're supportive of each other," she said during the interview.
Further, she added that she Bruce's change will not hinder him from doing things he loved.
"He said, 'Mom, I'm still the same person. He said, 'I'm still going to race cars, I'm still going to fly airplanes, and I'm going to get my helicopter license.'" Esther said.
Yahoo News said that the news has been brewing for quite some time since a source said to be a family friend of the Jenners have made a prelude about Bruce's decision.
"Bruce is transitioning to a woman. He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he's doing. He's in such a great space. That's why it's the perfect time to do something like this," the source said.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail reported that Kris Jenner is totally unaware of her ex-husband's decision to have a sex change. Kris is said to have 'serious lack of communication'.
Further, the tabloid said that the Kardashian family is silent about the issue and have recently cancelled all press releases.
Bruce Jenner, on the other hand, is said to have his own documentary series to be aired later this year.
