The Flash CW: Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrow reunite to play villains; First season to feature two-hour crossover event with 'Arrow'

Brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows are back as partners in crime - sort of.

Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller - responsible for playing Burrows and Scofield, respectively, on the FOX hit "Prison Break" - will both play villains in the new CW series "The Flash".

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Purcell will play the villain Mick Rory aka Heatwave. He will team up with Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, played by Miller, in Episode 10. During the summer it was reported Miller will play Captain Cold and make his debut in Episode 4.

Miller and Purcell won't be the only "Prison Break" alums to appear on the rookie series. Robert Knepper will reprise his role as The Clock King for "The Flash". Knepper first appeared as The Clock King in "Arrow", the parent show of "The Flash", during Season 2.

THR also reports "Prison Break" alum Peter Stormare, who played John Abruzzi on the show, has taken over the role of Count Vertigo for the third season of "Arrow".

In other "The Flash" news, fans of the show and "Arrow" can expect crossovers during the first season. The CW already features two shows - "The Vampire Diaries" and it's spin-off "The Originals" - which have had their fair share of crossovers.

This season, according to THR, "Arrow" and "The Flash" will have the eighth episodes from each show combine into a two-hour crossover event (something the aforementioned vampire-themed shows have yet to do.) Fans of the D.C. Comics-based shows can expect to see both Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver Queen/The Arrow (Stephen Amell) on "The Flash". Oliver will appear in the series premiere and fans can see Felicity in the fourth episode.

The fourth episode could be pretty interesting due to the history between Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Felicity. During Barry's first appearance on "Arrow", he and Felicity were briefly romantic interests. It seems both parties have moved on but it should still be amusing to watch the interaction between two characters who are socially awkward by nature.

"The Flash" debuts Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9/8c on the CW. Season 3 of "Arrow" premieres Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c.
