Steve Jobs gave Barack Obama a sneak peek of the original iPhone 7 years ago, and the president loved it.

According to an upcoming book Believer, authored by Barack Obama's Chief campaign advisor David Axelrod, Obama got a demo of the original iPhone before it was available to the public, in a private meeting with then Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

"If it were legal, I would buy a boatload of Apple stock. This thing is going to be really big," Obama said after the meeting.

However, not everyone had loved the original iPhone. Then Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had a witty laugh and called it the most expensive phone that didn't appeal to business customers because it lacked a keyboard.
