Samsung's New $800 Mirrorless Camera Can Shoot 4K Videos
Samsung has announced a new mirrorless camera, dubbed NX500 that can shoot 4K videos. The new camera also leverages the new Tizen operating system.
Equipping Samsung lenses, of 16-50mm, the new tiny and portable camera has 28-megapixel APS-C backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that can capture 9 shots per second with an ISO range of 100 to 25600.
The camera also sports a tilting 3-inch 1.04-million-dot AMOLED touchscreen, making it easier to take perfect selfie.
Among many other features are the hybrid autofocusing systems and built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and NFC. The camera can shoot 4096×2160 clips at 24fps and 3840×2160 footage at 30fps, both using the HEVC/H.265 codec.
Samsung NX 500 is available in black, white and brown versions.
Reportedly, the Samsung NX 500 will be available in the March 2015 for $800. A kit lens 16-50mm/F3.5-5.6 powered zoom will be bundled with the camera.
