Is Samsung planning to launch its much anticipated flagship mobile Galaxy S6 in March at the Mobile World Congress? Rumors suggest so.

According to Techradar which has fairly accurately reported rumors about Samsung in the past, the South Korean giant has sent out invites for the MWC 2015, causing anticipation about the rumored release.  It also posted pictures of what it claimed was S6 metal shell. The device is described as having rounded corners with microphone, speakers and headphones along the bottom edge. The photos reportedly reveal a sensor to measure heart rate and scan fingerprint.

The company hopes S6 would do better than S5 in sales terms, which have not been impressive. Also, given the soaring success of iPhone 6 and the ground Apple gained in many markets, the S6 would be launched with big expectations.

Hardware apart, the tech community is also expecting S6 to feature Samsung's mobile payment system rivaling Apple Pay. Tech Times reports that Samsung may deploy its system through LoopPay. The system would support both NFC phones and older magnetic stripes, unlike Apple Pay which is restricted to phones with NFC. This means retailers do not have to junk existing equipment and consumers their phones. They simple have to get additional equipment to utilize the system.
