Super Bowl 2015 MVP Tom Brady Wants to Give Truck to Teammate
The Super Bowl XLIX's most valuable player, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady reportedly wants to give his MVP-winning red 2015 Chevrolet Colorado truck to his fellow teammate, rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler.
Brady said, according to Boston's WEEI radio on Tuesday morning, "I would love to give him the truck. I would love to do that. I'm going to figure out how to make that work."
With 20 seconds left in the game, Butler became the unlikely hero when he caught a pass thrown by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson that was intended for Ricardo Lockette. The interception prevented that Seattle Seahawks from scoring a touchdown at their one-yard line, securing the 28-24 victory for the Patriots.
"It's an incredible play, and not only that, that's the type of plays Malcolm makes for our team," Brady said. "A guy like Malcolm who makes that type of quick, instinctive plays, that's one of his strong suits. I don't think it surprised any of us players because that's what his skill set is."
He added, "A lot of people didn't get to see [Butler's skills] throughout the course of the season. [Butler's interception] comes off as a great play, which it really was, at the biggest time of the year."
Brady has won a total of three Super Bowl MVP awards. His third one tied Joe Montana's NFL record. Throughout his long career in the league, Brady had led the Patriots to six Super Bowls, winning four of them.
