Katy Perry sizzles during the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show
After months of preparation, Katy Perry finally had her moment on stage at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.
Perry, 30, first entered the arena wearing a fire-inspired top and skirt while riding a large manual lion.
Perry then channelled her inner "California Gurl" for a beach ball-inspired look which borrowed its colour palette from an episode of "Spongebob Squarepants."

Perry's Super Bowl halftime show featured eye-popping, colorful visual effects, illusions and lights along with the energetic Missy Elliott. The rapper, rarely seen in recent years, made a welcome return in what looked like a black, modified NASCAR-driver jump suit and leather camp, and strung together a few of her hits, including "Get Ur Freak On" and "Work It."
Perry closed with "Firework," which went for earnestness rather than fun, and culminated in her riding around University of Phoenix Stadium on a contraption that looked like the shooting star.
