Bobbi Kristina Brown found unresponsive face down in bathtub: Report
Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston's daughter, was reportedly put into a medically induced coma, after she was found face down in a bathtub full of water on Saturday. Brown was found in the bathtub almost exactly three years after her mother, the legendary singer died in a tub.
A spokeswoman for the Roswell, Ga., Police Department, officer Lisa Holland, said Brown was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation until rescuers arrived, according to USA Today.
"Her husband and a friend located her in a bath tub this morning and she was unresponsive," their statement read. "He started CPR and a police officer took over lifesaving measures until an ambulance arrived. She was transported to the hospital. Please keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers."
However, since the report first came out of Bobbi Kristina Brown's hospitalization, there have been a sequence of conflicting reports as to the current condition of her health. CNN reports that she has been placed in a medically induced coma, while People says she is stable. Sources tell TMZ that her brain function has "significantly diminished" and doctors say it's not looking good.
Meanwhile, her father Bobby Brown has released a statement asking for privacy and prayers during the difficult time.
"Privacy is requested in this matter," Bobby said in a statement to E! News. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
"The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate," his lawyer said. "No additional information will be forthcoming."
Musicians and celebrities responded quickly to the news and sent out tweets of well wishes for Brown.
