Britney Spears and David Lucado Split on Cheating Revelation

Britney Spears, the "Toxic" hitmaker reportedly broke up with her boyfriend of 18 months, David Lucado, after a video of him making out with another woman surfaced.

The footage showed Lucado making out with an unknown woman in a living room and was reportedly taken early August, when the two were very much together, Perezhilton reports.

While the 32-year-old star confirmed the split Thursday via twitter, her representative also affirmed that the romance was over.

'Yes, she's single," the rep said.

The video in question here was apparently being shopped around to various media outlets but the singer's father, Jamie Spears reportedly bought the video paying a hefty sum for it. Now anybody who plays the video would be sued. He called Britney immediately after he bought the video and she broke up with him as soon as she saw the video.

Sources told TMZ that Lucado is, however, trying to make amends.

"David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out," the source said.

Another insider told E!Online that Britney was heartbroken over the relatinoship's demise.

"But she will get through it. She's a strong girl and he was never right for her," the source said.

Despite the heartbreak, Spears put on a strong energetic show in Vegas, where she has currently taken up residency.

"The only thing that would cancel any show date would be illness and Britney is in great health and she will completely fulfill her residency," a source close to Britney told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

"She is not going to allow personal matters to take over business matters. The show will not be changed," the insider added.
