Charles Vacca, a firearms instructor at a shooting rage in Arizona has died after being accidently shot by a nine year old girl.

The incident occurred at Bullets and Burgers, a shooting range situated at Arizona Last Stop, according to ABC news.

According to Mohave Country Sheriff's officials, Charles Vacca was instructing the girl on how to use an automatic Uzi. He was standing next to the girl while the girl's parents were shooting it on video.

When the girl pulled the trigger, the gun recoiled. This resulted in her losing control of the gun and Vacca accidentally getting shot in the head, the officials said.

Waca, 39, was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he died after some hours.

The girl had used the 9mm gun successfully many times in "single mode". Then Vacca shifted the setting to "fully automatic" mode, reports The Guardian citing Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Minors are prohibited from possessing or handling firearm and are allowed to do so only if escorted by a parent, guardian or an instructor.

Mohave County Sheriff Jim McCabe said that they will not file charges against the shooting facility, No citations would be issued either, he said.

Shooters can pick up the firearm of their choice at the range. A variety of fully automatic machine guns and other special weapons are available at the facility, reports The Guardian.

Charles Vacca,  a military veteran, had been working at the shooting rage for nearly two years, said Sam Scarmardo, the operator of the facility, according to Time.

No accident has taken place at the range since it opened more than a decade ago, Scarmado said.
