A 17-year old Florida teen moved in a hospital pretending to be a doctor for nearly month, unnoticed.

According to USA Today, the teenager wore a white lab coat with the logos of St. Mary's Medical Center while he roamed the health facility with a face mask and stethoscope around his neck. Hospital staff admitted to seeing the teen on several occasions and even addressed him as doctor. Surveillance footage also shows the teenager moving in the hospital. It was only on Tuesday that the hospital found out about the boy.

Gynecologist Sebastian Kent who works at the hospital, was taken aback when the fake doctor, who introduced himself as Dr. Robinson entered the former's office with a patient.

"The first thing I thought was, I am really getting old because these young doctors look younger every year," New York Daily News quoted Kent saying.

When the staff noticed the 'young doctor's' medical training did not seem sound they immediately alerted the security and the police. The police however did not make an arrest as the boy had not accessed patients and did not commit crime.

The hospital management also released a note saying that none of the patients were put to any risk. The boy's mother reportedly said that her son was suffering from a medical condition but was refusing to take medication. She however did not disclose her son's illness.
