World's Third Biggest Smartphone Maker Xiaomi Unveils Mi Note Phone, Beats iPhone 6, 6 Plus in Specs

Xiaomi, the world's third biggest smartphone maker, has unveiled a new phablet Mi Note. In terms of key specs, the smartphone beats all other current flagships, including iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The Mi Note is a 5.7-inch phablet, sporting 1080p display. It is lighter and thinner(6.95mm) than the iPhone 6 Plus. The 13 Megapixel camera (with optical image stabilization) sits flush against the back of the device, unlike the protruding lens in iPhone 6.

The phablet is powered by a 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor, couple with 3GB RAM. A monster battery of 3,000mAh is also equipped. And all these come at a price of $370.

Another model of the phablet, Mi Note Pro, which has better display, extra memory and faster processor will cost $520. However, as of now, it is not available outside Asia.

The company also announced a cheap on-ear 50mm headphone, including a Chromecast-style Mi Box Mini device for streaming content from a phone to a TV set.

Xiaomi sold 61 million smartphone in 2014 and the company recently raised one billion dollar funding after it was valued was $45 billion.
