Tesla launched an advertisement video contest that was inspired by a ten-year-old. The contest gives a unique option for its fans and creative professionals to submit an advertising campaign of the brand and get a chance to win prizes. The contest has a number of rules which each of the applicants has to follow to get accepted.

There are reports that on March 1, a father forwarded a letter from his daughter to Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla. She requested Musk to start an advertisement contest since the firm is not putting any advertisement campaigns for its products. Musk was impressed with the idea, and he gave directions to the team in Tesla to conceive it. He announced the information through his Twitter account. Incidentally, Tesla launched the contest campaign by naming it as Project Loveday, and it is for finding the best fan-made commercial up to 90 minutes.

The contest is open until May 8, and the videos can be submitted through a link which contains a form. The grand prize winner will be invited to a future event of Tesla along with reasonable accommodation and travel expenses. If the applicant is less than 18 years old, he has to submit the details of parent or guardian in the submission form.

The videos should focus on relating Tesla or its SolarCity projects to sustainable energy and its benefits. Additionally, the participants should waive all the rights of videos to Tesla, This means that even if it did not win the contest, the company could use it in future. However, the firm came with a clarification that it won't use it for any other project than prescribed.

The winners are expected to be announced on May 22. Earlier, Tesla has created waves in the market by introducing Model 3, a complete electric car on the market for $35,000. It comes with supercharging and once charged it can travel 215 miles. Also, it can achieve up to 60 mph speed from zero in less than 6 seconds and has an autopilot option.
