'The Circle' News & Update: Official Trailer Released; Emma Watson Plays A Role That Gathers Info For Questional Purposes

The official trailer for the film "The Circle" is released and it gives a glimpse on how the movie depicts reality.

The Circle stars Emma Watson who portrays the role of Mae. She is a young woman who lands a job in a tech company called "The Circle." The film is set in the near future and explores on a company doing an experiment.

Mae gets to be hired as part of the experiment but sees it as harmless on her part. Mae's co-worker Kalden (John Boyega) lets her know that "The Circle" gathers information to be used in nefarious purposes. Her co-worker notes that the company will use the information that it gathers whenever it fits their purpose.

"The Circle" is based on a novel by Dave Eggers and is set to give a new look at technology these days. James Ponsoldt, the film's writer-director-producer shares on how the film came about. He notes that he had been captivated by Eggers' writings and so has been the beginning of making the film possible.

"The Circle" is also collaborated by Eggers while in development. Ponsoldt shares that Eggers has been very supportive of the project. The film ultimately focuses on Mae from living a simple life up until her life changes as the story progresses.

Meanwhile, the latest trailer of The Circle does not give away much information on how Mae's life has changed in the company. However, it does show the action that can be expected in the film. Aside from Emma Watson, Tom Hanks is also part of the film and he portrays the role of Eamon Bailey.

Hanks, as Bailey, is the founder of the company "The Circle." This gives a glimpse on how technology can invade one's personal information through the details gathered over the internet.

"The Circle" is set to air on April 28.
