"Reddit" recently banned two alt-right groups. It is reported that these group has been sharing personal information on social media without consent.

According to a report, the violation from the alt-right groups that have been banned from "Reddit" is called 'doxing.' The site is very clear about the terms of service that those subreddits who post personal information can get banned from the site.

In the same report that one of the moderators of the alt-right group explains that there has been no notification when the ban was given. He further claims that the subreddit was banned because it has become popular over the months.

"Reddit" has also explained that the two alt-right groups have been banned because of the violations being repeated. It is further explained that the only solution to the act is to ban these groups. The site also makes it clear that the forum is to improve the member's experience.

This is not the first time that Reddit has banned subreddits in the site. There have been issues before regarding subreddits have been penalized because of the same violation which is doxing. It is made clear that the users need to use the site according to the terms of service.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the shutdown was done because of some posting personal information about a protester at Donald Trump's inauguration. The protester reportedly punched the alt-right figurehead, Richard Spencer. This has been done during a TV interview.

Additionally, the ban has caused some outrage with some of the alt-right members. They have called the ban as "political suppression" and "censorship." Reddit is known to block some users who violate the terms of service. However, the shutting down of the subreddit is seldom done.

This is one way for Reddit to use the terms of service that they have on the site. The users can see to it that these terms are followed through.
