George HW Bush And Barbara Hospitalized; Former President Experienced Fatigue & Coughing But Stable

George HW Bush and wife Barbara Bush are both rushed to the hospital. The 41st President of the United States of America is currently at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Houston Methodist Hospital because the former president experienced shortness of breath.

The former first lady, Barbara Bush, was also admitted to a hospital "as a precaution after experiencing fatigue and coughing." The Bush spokesman, Jim McGrath, updated the public of the state of health of the elder Bush couple.

 McGrath further explained that the 92-year-old former president being treated for his pneumonia. Reports are saying that Bush is stable and resting well. He was the U.S. President from 1989 to 1993 he has already sent his apology letter to President-elect Donald Trump that he will not be attending the ceremony.

In a letter that was reported by ABC News and carried by CNN, Bush jokingly wrote Trump that "my doctor says if I sit outside in January, it likely will put me six feet under. Same for Barbara. So I guess we're stuck in Texas." Donald Trump has tweeted his reply to the note and has wished the couple well.

Bush is the oldest living US president. The doctors sedated him when they cleared his airway and is expected to be released from the hospital in the coming days. Aside from the respiratory illness, he is also suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Age and his medical condition is not deterring George HW Bush from enjoying life. For his 90th birthday, he went on a skydiving adventure in Kennenbunkport. A few days after his 92nd birthday, he invited 40 wounded warriors and went fishing with him driving his speedboat.
