Overwatch Update, News: New Comic Reveals Games First LGBT Hero; Get Links To The Animated Versions Of All The Comics
There's a new Overwatch comic called Reflections and gamers are going crazy because the new comic confirms the game's first queer hero, Tracer.
Yesterday, Blizzard released a new Overwatch comic on the game's official website, confirming the very first LGBT hero in the popular first person shooter game. The videogame developer used to tease that several of the heroes in Overwatch are actually queer, and now the studio has making true to its word and revealing which characters are actually homosexual.
Reflections is a holiday themed comic and shows gamers how their favourite Overwatch heroes spend the holiday season. Tracer is the most prominent of the heroes in the new comic, taking up the cover page of Reflections and stealing the spotlight with a shared holiday dinner with her girlfriend Emily and fellow Overwatch hero, Winston.
In the comic, gamers get to see Tracer sharing a few tender moments kissing her girlfriend who unfortunately isn't part of the Overwatch team. While many feel happy that Blizzard has finally revealed Tracer's sexual orientation, it seems like some gamers on Reddit feel displeased, saying that they no longer have Tracer as an Overwatch waifu.
Other gamers on Reddit also feel terribly bad about the Tracer's reveal, because a lot of fans used to like pairing up Tracer with Widowmaker. Now that she has a girlfriend, it seems like Widowmaker's being taken out of the picture.
Gamers who want to read the comic can check out the official Overwatch website, and they can also check out the different animated versions of all of the different Overwatch comics including Reflections. Overwatch now has 10 comics to add to the lore of the game, and each and every one of them has an animated version. Warped Bullet has compiled the links to all the different animated versions of the Overwatch comics for everyone to enjoy, and gamers can check it out here.
