Facebook Messenger Gets Another Feature: Now Users Can Video Chat With 50 People, Know More About It
Facebook Messenger got a makeover and now it lets the users make group video chat with up to 50 people at a time. The feature is found to be innovative as it perfectly includes whoever participate in the chat in a wonderful manner. The ecosystem of group chat in Facebook Messenger is made in such a way that it clearly transcribes what every member of the chat group wanted.
The new Facebook Messenger group video chat option shows the faces of first six people in the chat group in a grid view. If more people are added, whoever leading the chat will be captured in the video feed and hence there is no point of disappointment for the users. If many people are speaking at a time, the loudest one will be showed in the video feed. The added functionality in Facebook Messenger is not only helpful for the personal chats but also for office works including teleconferencing.

It was on Monday, Facebook initiated the update for iOS, Android, and Desktop versions and this means that users of all the major platforms can use the group video chat option of Messenger to communicate each other. The update has added more functionalities like each user can add digital masks, mustaches, funny glasses etc., to their video feeds and that will be streamed to chat members. Facebook Messenger seems to think to make the new functionality more funny and engaging.
The new functionality from Facebook Messenger is working quite well in the lines of Microsoft Skype and Google Hangouts. Both the chat applications are providing group video chat options but limited to 10 people at a time. The feature has added many enterprise customers to their belt and that is the major reason Facebook tried to install video chat option in its Messenger application with a much-increased number of participants.
The year saw a lot of changes in Facebook Messenger application. In a bid to bring back the chat application more popular, it added group voice calling facility up to 50 people in April 2016. In October a lighter version of Facebook Messenger came along with end-to-end encryption to ensure secure message delivery. Recently, it got gaming into the chats and now group video chat, Facebook Messenger really scores.
