Street Fighter V Has Something In Store For Players Who Love To Rage Quit
Capcom is slowly building up its new community for Street Fighter V, but every game community is not without its share of rage-quitters and trash-talkers. A recent leak has shown that Capcom has plans to battling these people who love to disconnect inbetween matches, and they have come with a way to publicly shame rage-quitters.
According to Eurogamer, players who frequently disconnect during matches will get a skull icon on their profile which will inform everyone in the community of their gaming etiquette. What's more, branded players will get a League Point reduction as well as a matchmaking restriction.
Everyone who plays by the rules will get an icon of their own as well, and the icons also help with the matchmaking in the game. Players with the same icon are often paired up together.
The leak actually comes off of Reddit. After a test branch of Street Fighter V went out on Steam, some users were able to notice that it wasn't password protected and sifted through some of the data.
Apart from the rage-quitter brand, the new update is said to have an updated menu. Players will also be allowed to choose the music that they prefer per mode, be it versus, ranked, casual, or training mode. There have also been balance changes, as well as direct input support.
What's also interesting is that there has been an image leaked of Rashid's bodyguard Azam. Some speculate that Azam could either be a playable character for Street Fighter V, or maybe he would just appear in Rashid's opening animation. It's also quite possible that Azam can be summoned by Rashid during fights as a form of assist. R. Mika can do the same thing during fights by summoning her tag-team partner, Yamato Nadeshiko.
It's also interesting to note that fan-favorite Akuma will also be coming into the game.
Street Fighter V starts its second season today on Dec. 20.
