New Dragon Quest 11 Debuted At Jump Festa

There was only few evidence has been detailed about the newest title in the Dragon Quest series since its announcement over a year ago. Jump Festa, Square Enix has unveiled new information for the anticipated Dragon Quest XI!

Gameplay was also shown running on the PlayStation4 and Nintendo 3DS. On the PS4 showed part of the world map and even riding on a horse. It can even run over enemies with the horse! 3DS gameplay was shown in a town showing off the game runs with a 3D and 2D map at the same time.

Dragon Quest XI was first recommended for Switch when the game was originally announced last year. Square Enix then seemed to reconfirm it in an issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream. With Dragon Quest XI heading to 3DS and Switch, Nintendo fans have every right to be excited. Hopefully, the game sees release outside of Japan. The Official Japanese teaser site!

Square Enix has shared more info for Dragon Quest XI during their stage show at this year's Jump Festa. Alongside a couple of gameplay video for the PS4 and 3DS version, they also revealed the opening trailer for the game. The game starts when a protagonist, a young man who lives in the village of Ishi, turns 16 years old. The village is described as being "filled with warm-hearted people".

Dragon Quest is expected to be released in Japan in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. No announcement was made for the Nintendo Switch version, which Square Enix previously confirmed.
