‘Flash,’ ‘Supergirl’ Musical Crossover Spoilers: Is Neil Patrick Harris Willing To Reprise His Music Meister Role?
A musical, two-episode crossover event for "The Flash" and "Supergirl" is currently being prepared by The CW's DC TV universe. Rumors and speculations have arisen in recent weeks, and among those is whether or not Neil Patrick Harris would reprise his Music Meister role in the crossover.
The "A Series of Unfortunate Events" lead star portrayed Music Meister in the 2008 animated TV series, "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," according to Screen Rant. For those unacquainted with the character, Music Meister is a villain who can hypnotize people by singing high notes. He uses his power to punish the people who bullied him in the past.
There are reports saying that "The Avengers" director Joss Whedon would helm the "Supergirl" and "The Flash" musical crossover. In an interview with IGN, Harris said that he has heard about the Music Meister rumors, but that's it. It seems that The CW hasn't contacted the actor yet for the upcoming "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover.
Harris said that voicing the villain in the animated series was "fun" and "a good thing to do." However, it remains to be seen whether or not he would actually reprise his Music Meister role in live-action.

However, there are rumors suggesting that it's not Music Meister who will push "Supergirl" and "The Flash" towards a musical crossover. ScreenCrush reported that the villain could be Mister Mxyzptlk, who is slated to appear later in "Supergirl" Season 2 for two episodes. Could these two episodes be the two-part musical?
Mister Mxyzptlk is an imp from the 5th Dimension that manipulates time. He can only return to his world if he's tricked into saying his name backwards.
There are also expectations about Broadway veteran, Victor Garber, joining the "Supergirl" and "The Flash" musical crossover, Comic Book reported. Garber portrays Martin Stein on "Legends of Tomorrow."
Aside from Garber, Jeremy Jordan (Winn Schott) of "Supergirl" and "The Flash" actors Jesse L. Martin (Joe West) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) have experience in musical theater. Both of the superhero shows' lead stars, Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl) and Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), had roles on "Glee."
The "Supergirl" and "The Flash" musical crossover is expected to air in February 2017. What do you think of this event so far? Should Harris appear in the crossover as Music Meister? Do you wish to see Mister Mxyzptlk as the crossover's villain instead? Sound off in the comments section below!
