Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Makes An Impressive Hit Of $155 Million Over Its First Weekend.

Rogue One: A Star Wars story blows the box office, earning an estimated $155 million across its first three days in domestic theaters. The said film also taken $290.5 million globally during its opening weekend.

According to BBC News, North America was credible for about half of the Rogue One's earnings over its first weekend hitting the $155-million-dollar spot, based on a box office analyst, Exhibitor Relations. And for the record, the film was also considered the second-best December opening weekend in the U.S.A., U.K., and Canada.

It isn't surprising anymore that the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story made a hit on the chart during its release for Star Wars: The Force Awakens also held the record last year when it took $248 million dollars during its debut last year. The film lived up the watchers' expectations though the title is still held by the movie, Avatar, which produced almost $2.8 billion dollars in 2009, followed by one of the best romantic movies of all time, Titanic with an estimated gross of $2.2 billion in 1992.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a 2016 American epic space opera film which was produced bby LucasFilm, directed by Briton Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. Rogue One is a stand-alone film in the Star Wars Anthology series. It stars Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, as well as Forest Whitaker.

Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst, said, 'The next film in Star Wars saga has potential to claim the title as "The Biggest Movie of All Time."

In relation to Entertainment, the film still sets to open in the hefty-hitting territories like China and South Korea.The movie receives warm reviews from critics across borders due to its splendid storyline. In relation to BBC News, the next film in the Star Wars trilogy which is the Episode VIII is set to be released in theaters in 2017.
