Mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition Stock Availability Update: GameStop & Best Buy Confirm Limited Quantities Available Before Christmas
With only a few days left until Christmas, many are still hoping to get a mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition. While Nintendo already assured a steady supply to keep up with the gaming console's demand, the number of frustrated customers scouring for one are increasing. The good thing is that small shipment of the console are now being delivered to retailers. So for those who want to get one, this might be the last chance to get a mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition before Christmas.
Best Buy announced in a blog that the elusive mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition will be available for sale at Best Buy on December 20 in over 1,000 Big Box stores in the United States. It won't be available for sale on BestBuy.Com, and will only be purchased in-store. The mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition at Best Buy will also be first to come, first to be served basis with a ticketing system that was also used on Black Friday. Best Buy will be giving out tickets equivalent to the number of consoles they have in stock, and purchase limit is one console per customer.
The Verge confirms the news reporting that in an automated answering system, Best Buy revealed details about the mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition sale. The recording reportedly said that the console won't be available for purchase online. Furthermore, Best Buy will be selling limited quantities of the retro-gaming console at Best Buy stores, but will not be revealing how many will be sold on the day. The automated answering system also confirms the ticketing process in which tickets will be handed out to customers who are in line.
Polygon also reported that GameStop received additional shipments last week and is now selling limited quantities of mini Nintendo NES Classic Edition. But since they sell out really fast, a spokesperson urges customers to call the local store first to confirm availability.
