Jones' Seven Figure Salary: Does It Comes with a Sequel Contract? Jones was able to negotiate a seven figure salary after garnering a nomination for her role in 'The Theory of Everything' for best actress. Other cast members of the film earned no more than six figures, including Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn. "She knows her worth," said one insider source.
Additionally, sources speculate that Jones' high paying salary was due to a contract option for one sequel. But knowing the ending of Rogue One's standalone story, many would wonder how a sequel to the movie would be possible.
Whether the movie will be a prequel or a side story, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has already confirmed that Rogue One will not have an immediate sequel. Prior to Kennedy's statement, Jones told sources in an earlier interview that a Rogue One sequel was very much a possibility, stating "It's set up for one. I mean, there's a number in the title."
Apart from the possibility of a Jyn Erso movie or a prequel, there has been some speculation of the possibility that she may appear in the confirmed Han Solo movie. There is also talk of a standalone young Luke Skywalker film that she could also be a part of.
At this point, all of this remains to be speculation and depends mainly on the performance of Rogue One in cinemas. The sequel option for Jones will become more of a reality after seeing the box-office numbers.
