Final Fantasy XV Update: Fan-Favorite Villain Returns To FFXV DLC

Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV has been well-received by a lot of longtime fans of the franchise, and a new DLC is set to come out for the game called Episode Gladiolus. What's more, the FF15 expansion will feature a fan-favorite character of the franchise, the multi-armed swordsman Gilgamesh.

According to an interview with VG24/7, FFXV producer Haruyoshi Sawatari said that Gilgamesh will be a character exclusive to the Episode Gladiolus DLC. He then adds that, "In Episode Gladio, you're able to go into areas that cannot be entered in the main game."

The same site also notes that at some point in the main game, Gladiolus leaves the main party for a while to take care of something personal; he then returns to the party sporting a scar. Could this have something to do with the Final Fantasy 15 DLC? Did it come from Gilgamesh?

Gilgamesh has been introduced to the Final Fantasy world back in the release of FF5, but he has since then appeared in several other games in the franchise like FF8, FF9, FF11, FF12, and FF14. He's also appeared in several other spin-offs like FF13-2, Type-0 FF4, and FF6 Advance.

Though his look has changed over the years, Gilgamesh is always portrayed as having several arms and wielding multiple swords. His most iconic look, however, is still the one based on his first appearance in FF5.

So far, the developers have made a season pass available for Final Fantasy 15, and it'll come with an online multiplayer expansion and story expansions for each of Noctis' allies: Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto. The content still isn't available, however.

There is also news that a special Final Fantasy XV Holiday DLC pack is going to be released on Dec. 22, but there is no mention on whether the story expansions will be available in that time.
