When asked about whether she had cried on the set yet, Maril Davis, producer of "Outlander" series opened up about tearing up in the rough draft of the season premiere. The start of the season is what she looks forward to the most, especially the iconic print shop scene (which she reveals is going to be "great") and "stuff on the ships." Already halfway through "Outlander" Season 3, it will run for 13 episodes with scenes on a ship at a new Caribbean location. Each episode takes about 2 months to shoot.

"Outlander" Season 3 is filming in South Africa due to a set requirement for infrastructures and ships. Series promo will be premiered soon as they have already completed their publicity shoot. Moving forward to "Outlander" Season 4, Davis reveals that they will not be taking a break anytime soon and will be rolling in through to the next season.
In other news, Diana Gabaldon's "The Voyager" book adaptation has been receiving controversy around Jamie's alleged rape scene. Inverse reports that there are ideological differences between fandoms which may be highlighted in "Outlander" Season 3. Some fans think that the scene is not rape, while others assert that "no means no" especially in terms of sex and consent.
.@kristalshay it will be fairly close to the book. But differences will change this conversation I think
— Maril Davis (@TallShipProds) December 9, 2016
The rape scene, according to Davis, will be fairly close to the book. On the other hand, the differences in opinion might change how they would present the scene going forward. While fans would love "Outlander" Season 3 to be presented as close to the book as possible, will they also be compromising the details to fit fans' ideological differences?
"Outlander" Season 3 will return sometime in 2017 on Starz.
