2017 New Pokemon Movie Titled Pokemon-I Choose You

Good news to all Pokemon series fans around the world! An upcoming Pokemon movie will surely hit the cinemas next year as announced by AnimeNewsNetwork on Thursday. The new Pokemon movie is entitled "Pokemon, I choose you!"

The movie will premiere on July 15, 2017, in Japan. The show revealed a short teaser with the main characters Ash, Pikachu and Ho-Oh. Apart from the excellent animation details and movie background, another thing that makes it interesting is Ash wears his original get up from the anime's first season.

A poster of the coming movie shows Ash and Pikachu looking at Ho-Oh, flying up on what it seems the Alola Region. On the first episode of the series Ash and Pikachu voyaged through Alola region and saw Ho-Oh, The Jotho Legendary Pokemon.

The movie may reboot the anime series in a more detailed way. In the end of the first episode, Ash and Pikachu was woken up by an unknown Pokemon flying in the direction of a rainbow. The animated series rarely give any focus on Ho-Oh and it only appears on insignificant scenes, the coming movie seems to five a hint that Ho-oh, the legendary Pokemon may play a big role in the movie plot. This movie might be an alternate dimension where the duo Ash and Pikachu will come across Ho-Oh.

Pokemon, I choose you! Marks the 20th anniversary of the animated franchise, it is not a surprise if this movie turns out to be a reboot of the series or an alternate start of the Pokemon saga. Prior to Pokemon, I Choose You movie the franchise's most recent film was Pokemon the movie XY & Z which debuted on December 5 under Disney XD in the US.
