Samsung's Upcoming Galaxy S8 Is Rumored To Feature Bluetooth 5.0 Technology
Just the other week, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group officially announced Bluetooth 5.0 as the latest version of their Bluetooth technology. Currently, we have Bluetooth 4.2 in our phones, laptops, and other wireless technologies.
New Bluetooth Technology. Compared to the previous version, Bluetooth 5.0 promises to offer two times faster the speed, four times the range, and eight times broadcast message capacity. In addition, it promises improved interoperability with other technologies.
Rumor has it that Samsung, a member of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, will equip the upcoming Galaxy S8 with this latest Bluetooth version. This unquestionably makes it one of the biggest smartphones of 2017.
Other Features. Apart from Bluetooth 5.0, Samsung's 2017 flagship smartphone is rumored to feature larger RAM and internal phone storage, and a 5.7-inch bezel-less display with a massive 6.2-inch variant. Both variants will supposedly sport a virtual home button under the glass. It has also been said that the S8 may also be the first smartphone to sport Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Another rumor circulating on the web about the Galaxy S8 is a new digital assistant developed by Viv Labs, which Samsung acquired in the early part of 2016. The digital assistant will supposedly come in two variants, a male and female voiced AI, with the former named Kestra and the latter, Bixby.
Samsung was brought into the spotlight earlier this year due to news reports about its Galaxy Note 7 phones exploding unexpectedly. It will be difficult to not forgive and forget once Samsung makes good on these rumors.
The Galaxy S8's rumored features and more have all gotten us excited about the Galaxy S8. However, it is only appropriate to take these in with suspicion until an official announcement from Samsung is made. It is expected that Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy S8 in February and to put it on sale by the end of the first quarter of 2017.
