‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Latest News, Update: Old Character Is Not Returning; How Did Lincoln Live Without His Team? ‘PB’ Writers Speak

“Prison Break” Season 5 is returning in 2017 and the team behind the TV serial drama has not announced the official air date yet. However, it was already revealed that the premiere will be launched in Spring next year. Here are some news and scoops we have gathered about the highly anticipated fifth season of Prison Break.

Luckily for fans, the official account of “Prison Break” writers on Twitter, @PBWritersRoom, is actively supporting fans with hints and ideas about the upcoming season. Though the writers have not asked for a new Twitter Q&A yet for this month, the previous revelations seem to enough to dwell on until the new season returns.

In the previous Q&A with @PBWritersRoom, it was revealed that the first episode of Season 5 will show how Lincoln decided to live his life without his friends. A Twitter fan asked how Lincoln’s life would look like given that Sofia and LJ will not be part of the plot, to which @PBWritersRoom answered, “You’ll find out very quickly in the first episode.”

Exciting isn’t it? But there are more hints that we have gathered from the said Twitter Q&A. Apparently, Alexander Mahone nor Donals “Don” Self will not reprise their roles on “Prison Break” Season 5. A previous report from Digital Spy claimed that Mahone won’t be back as “Prison Break” writer Paul Scheuring can no longer think of a storyline for the said character.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported by News Everyday that a new gay character will be introduced on Season 5 of Prison Break. His name is Sid and will be portrayed by actor Kunal Sharma. Sid is expected to play an integral part in the upcoming season of the popular TV series.
