The search for the next James Bond actor is still on, as Daniel Craig no longer seems to be interested in reprising his role as agent 007. While several actors have been vying for the role, several reports suggest that Ryan Gosling may be the new James Bond.

Ryan Gosling is in the growing list of actors who could play as the new James Bond; that is, if Daniel Craig pushes through with his earlier statement about dropping the role. The 36-year-old actor is popularly known for his role in "The Notebook" along with his co-star Rachel McAdams.

Gosling is one of the many actors in Hollywood who fans have been eyeing to take the role of agent 007 following Craig's statements that he no longer wishes to take on another James Bond movie after "Spectre." According to The Week, several names have been included in the list, including James Norton, Aidan Turner, and Tom Hardy.

Idris Elba, Theo James, and Tom Hiddleston have also been named as popular choices to become the next James Bond actor after Craig. It can be recalled that Craig previously commented that he would rather slit his wrists than do another Bond movie.

However, if Pierce Brosnan had a say in these things, the previous Bond actor shared that he would still like to see Craig take on the role in the succeeding movies, reports NME. According to Brosnan, Craig did a good job at playing the role of agent 007.

"He's a magnificent, dynamic Bond who came onto the stage at a time when it really needed invigorating, and he did that brilliantly," he explained.

Even executive producer Callum McDougall expressed his desire to see Craig back for the succeeding Bond movies after "Spectre." However, the 48-year-old, who played as James Bond in "Casino Royale," "Quantum of Solace," "Skyfall" and "Spectre," has yet to officially release a statement.
