Ubisoft Reveals New Maps For It's Massive Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Ubisoft reveals new maps for its upcoming open-world tactical shooter video game: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. Wildlands reportedly contains one of the largest open worlds that Ubisoft has ever created. The new game marks the10th installment in the Ghost Recon franchise and the very first with a fully-featured open-world.

Wildlands takes us to the open plains of Bolivia.Polygon reports that the game's map is divided into 21 regions in total filled with different towns and other features like water passages, and people's culture. In addition, there are 11 unique biomes, containing their own climates and animals. They have seen the scale of some missions which can start at alarming complexes and extended across mountains and highways.

The first installment of Ubisoft's tactical squad-based since 2012's Future Soldier, sees something of a reboot and if early indications prove accurate, Wildlands could propel Ghost Recon into stellar realms. The first Ghost Recon game with a fully open world, excavate the franchise attract confidence on technology in favor of high-octane missions that can be approached in various ways.

Wildland has an interesting premise, even though scary if happen come from Bolivia. Set in the present day but positing an alternate reality in which a corrupt government has allowed Santa Blanca, a Colombian drug cartel, to move in Bolivia and effectively taking over the country.

As an elite Ghost, the player is fighting on two fronts: the primary objective is to infiltrate the drug cartel and ultimately take out its leader El Sueno. But the player will also to compete with a corrupt military backing El Sueno. The more disruption cause, the more resistance the locals will be able to organize.

Within the huge world of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Ubisoft stated that there will be plenty of activity and engagement. In fact, the game's lead artist and technical art director, Benoit Martinez, recently revealed that the company has created an interactive world that's alive with NPCs.
