Danganronpa V3 News - The Return of Hope's Peak Academy!
Danganronpa V3 is the latest installment of the popular murder mystery novel by spike chunsoft. It is revealed that for the Bonus mode of the game, returning characters from the Hope's Peak saga will make their appearance.
According to Siliconera's report, spike chunsoft, the developers behind the Danganronpa series, announced that they'll be adding a bonus feature in the game. The bonus feature is an alternate universe where the characters from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony will enroll in Hope's Peak Academy.
Hope's Peak Academy is the setting for the first two games and the anime of the Danganronpa series. Hope's Peak Academy is a government exclusive school where only those who excel in their respective talents can be found. The school forbids enrollment and instead, recruits potential students. It aims to bring "hope" to the country, earning the school's name "Hope's Peak."
The students that participated in the School Life of Mutual Killing and the Killing School Trip are both students from Hope's Peak Academy. As for the final installment of the Hope's Peak saga, the Final Killing Game also hosts characters that are affiliated with Hope's Peak Academy (teachers, former students, and survivors of the first games). So it's exciting for fans of the Hope's Peak saga to go back to the school, bringing along a brand new set of characters. Players will get to see a different universe where the students in the Killing Harmony would enroll in Hope's Peak instead.
No further details were released with regards to this feature but it's something that both new and old fans of Danganronpa will get to enjoy once the game is released. No news whether a mutual killing game will also commence in this mode but since it's a bonus feature, most likely it'll be exploration and interaction with the Hope's Peak students.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is scheduled for release on January 12, 2017, in Japan. Earlier, NIS America announced that they'll be bringing the game to the West sometime in 2017. For those who are eagerly waiting for this title, spike chunsoft will be releasing a demo in Japan on December 20.
